French Toast

This was one of my favorite breakfast meals growing up and still is today. Its quick and easy and always a winner with the kids (assuming they aren’t aware that we have waffle mix in the cabinet).

french toast with cinnamon, vanilla extract, and half & half topped with powdered sugar and syrup.

French toast with cinnamon, vanilla extract, and half & half topped with powdered sugar and syrup.

Ingredients
  1. 5 eggs
  2. 1/2 cup Half & Half
  3. 1 tbsp Vanilla Extract
  4. 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  5. 8 slices of bread (this can be any kind of bread)
  6. Butter
  7. Powdered Sugar
  8. Syrup
Instructions
  1. Beat eggs, Half & Half, Vanilla Extract in a bowl
  2. Heat frying pan over medium heat and melt one slice of butter to coat pan
  3. Coat bread and place into frying pan cooking one side for 2 minutes. While cooking sprinkle top side with ground cinnamon
  4. Flip bread over and cook cinnamon side down for 2 minutes
  5. Place cooked french toast on a plate and top with syrup and powdered sugar. You can also add more cinnamon if you like.
